See “the world” for what it is
15-17 Never give your hearts to this world or to any of the things in it. A man cannot love the Father and love the world at the same time. For the whole world-system, based as it is on men’s primitive desires, their greedy ambitions and the glamour of all that they think splendid, is not derived from the Father at all, but from the world itself. The world and all its passionate desires will one day disappear. But the man who is following God’s will is part of the permanent and cannot die.
the keywords translated world is the Greek word cosmos. in scripture we find it denoted principally as one thing: a harmonious order, system, or arrangement, the inhabitants of the earth, society, the whole race of humanity alienated from God and thus hostile to the ways of God, the universe, worldly affairs such as worldly goods, endowments, riches, advantages, pleasures, customs, ways, methods, organizations, systems, institutions, governments, etcetera. The idea of orderly arrangement or organization lies behind all of these categories. The earth, the solar system, the universe, society, government, commerce, education, social institutions, finance, entertainment-all these operate by a precise law, order, arrangement, system, and method. Behind everything that exists and all that happens in the functioning visible, material realm is a planned system; in this system there is a harmonious functioning, and established order. That is the world and None of it is of the spirit of God. None of it is established along the lines of God’s ways, God’s righteousness, God’s nature, God’s word, or God’s will. The spirit has an altogether different standard and order than the Kingdom of God. Therefore, every organized system of the visible realm is the world in contrast to, and set apart from, the Kingdom of God out of the invisible realm of God’s spirit.
Many Christians have the mistaken notion that the world is the movie theater, clubs, entertainment, clothing, jewelry, etcetera etcetera. Others confuse the world with the earth which is Terra Firma or dirt. But the world is the present system of things on this earth conceived by the carnal mind and generated by the natural man. The world consists of all that man has instituted that replaces God in his life. The present political, economic, educational, and religious systems are not of God, but they comprise the world. All that causes man to disregard the holy spirit and to stop making progress towards God or be independent of God in is the world. All that does not come from the father, all that originates from any source other than the mind of christ, all that man institutes by his own carnal wisdom and fleshly activity is of the world. It is not according to God’s purpose for men to be subject to any system that he himself creates! Nor, is he according to God’s purpose for his people to be subject to religious systems that they themselves create which are contrary to the life, nature, word, and ways of God.

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact image of God.
God’s Kingdom, in contrast to the world systems, have never been contaminated by the world. You may be assured, my beloved, that the father has faithfully answered the prayer of Jesus, and now I come to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. Did Jesus teach us to pray come quickly Lord Jesus and take us to heaven or did he teach us to pray your Kingdom come your will be done in earth as it is in heaven? To be saved from this present evil world doesn’t mean to be taken away. It means to be transformed, it means to be in a different condition, or state of being, or a different mindset, than the world. It means to be holy instead of vile, speaking truth instead of lies, heavenly minded instead of earthly minded, peaceful instead of agitating, full of wisdom and understanding instead of ignorance and foolishness, full of faith instead of fear and frustration, living for god instead of living selfishly. understanding that our Lord prayed to the Father that he should not take us out of the world, but that he should keep us from evil. He said … in John 17…They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world John 17 versus 15 through 17. And now it is our turn to be one with God. To walk with God, and to be completely delivered out of this present evil world system into the life and power and glory of the Kingdom of God
There is a simple, but sure, test where we can discern whether anything pertains to the Kingdom of God or is of this world. For all that is in the world is not of the father but of the world first John 2 verse 16. The truth is that all that belongs to the Kingdom of God originates in and proceeds forth from the spirit of the father. Whatever is of the father is not of the world. Whatever is of the world is not of the father. That is the law of the Kingdom. Every thought, word, desire, action call activity, method, system ,movement, or institution that flows from the life of the father is an expression of the Kingdom of God. Conversely, all that is of the world originate in and spring from the carnal mind of man. It takes no spirituality at all to walk after the order of this world, but it takes a true commitment to the Holy Spirit to walk in the order of the Kingdom of God, which is the order of the holy spirit.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:4
Isaiah provides picture for us with a picture of the curse that is on the ways of the world in chapter 5 where the word “Woe” actually means “cursed”… verse 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Please notice this very system operates today in the way of misinformation.
This world is not for us. Its methods are not for us. It’s spirit is not for us. We are different standard bearer, we are of God! We are called to transform by overcoming things with the mindset of Christ. We are led by the spirit of God, we are the sons and daughters of God. God is saving us out of this world. Jesus said, I have overcome the world in John 16 verse 33. John wrote in First John Five verse four… for whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith first john 5 verse four. Peter admonishes, whereby are given on to us exceeding great and precious promises that by these you might be the takers of the divine nature,, having escaped the corruption that is in this world through lust in second Peter chapter one verse four. And finally the apostle James entreats us, you adulterers and adulteresses, friendship with the world is enmity with God. Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of god . Thank God the world is passing away. Not the earth that we live on, not our solar system, but the world- this present system of this evil age of things. And with it all the chaos, sin, war, crime, poverty, pain, pride, deceit, death, yeah all that is not of the father will pass away and God’s Kingdom will rule this world system. We have god’s word for it!
“The Kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our God and His Christ”
The Greek word for “world” is “cosmos”. You may be familiar with it’s offspring “cosmetic”? The world is nothing but a mask worn by emptiness.
Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
Mat 12:28,29 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
What is absolutely, positively established in these verses? Did Jesus cast out devils? Yes! Then is the kingdom of God come unto men? Yes! Did the Christ enter the earth (Satan’s house)? Yes! Did He bind him and spoil his goods? Yes! He took the Keys of Death, Hell and the Grave leaving the adversary only one weapon – a big bad mouth! Why are we slow to accept this? The reason we doubt it is because we heed that same familiar voice that slithered through the tree saying, “Hath God said?” This voice comes but for to steal, kill, and destroy; and it has stolen most of the power God promised his children. First it leads you to doubt, which generates fear. In the midst of fear, we imagine we are lacking what we always have inside us, that is eternal life. From then on we work with much sweat to find the life that is within us, while running from death which has no place in us. Look at Heb 2:14,15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hath God said, Jesus destroyed him who had the power of death? Past tense!! Yes He hath. Now don’t listen to any other voices – there is nothing outside yourself that holds the power of death over you. Now tie that in with this scripture:
1 Cor 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
…so any other powers he had were destroyed prior to that. Death only has one more chance – to speak, to influence those who do have the power of life and death. If you accept a lie, and you act upon it, the results will manifest as if it were true.
