Honesty is definitely the best policy for dating (or anything), but when you’re on a first date with a guy, I want you to refrain from immediately spilling your entire life story.
Why?
Because there is such a thing as too much information too soon.
This is the first time you’re meeting up and having a real conversation. This is when everything is meant to feel fun and flirty and free. And there are certain topics of conversation that are just not attractive.
Your ex-husband who turned out to be a massive fraudster and is now on the run in South America?
Not hot.
Your inquisition into what this man’s intentions are with you?
Not sexy.
Your child vomiting in your new car yesterday?
Nope. Not enticing. I think we’re all in agreement here.
So, what are the four words you should steer clear from on a first date?
Find out in my latest video.
Take it from me; these four words will not set you up for a fabulous first date. And the next thing you know, he’s saying my favorite four-letter word to you: “NEXT!” And we don’t want that.
Do be honest.
Do share some personal things about your life.
But save the heavy stuff for later.
We’ve all got a past, and we’ve all got baggage, but no one needs to see it this early on.
Your only mission on a first date is to start thinking about whether this man meets your love vision and have a wonderful time!
